Yayness! I got the job I applied for the other day- they called me yesterday and said they wanted to interview me, and I guess I was the only applicant, since I was told right away... still in libraries, but a different branch (same municipality, so it was all internal) and doing storytimes, instead of local history... woot!
I start in a month, which is great since I have agreed to a lot of commitments and small projects where I am now, and even if I don't finish everything I will be in a good position to hand over to my replacement.
*would be dancing happily around the room if it wasn't too hot to dance*

Melbourne is sweltering beyond belief: so far this morning it got to 30c at 8.30am, and is now 37c, at 11.30am.
We had a few people around last night- not many, since I couldn't stand the idea of having a lot of people in my not so cool apartment, and we ate ice and drank punch and played trivial pursuit- low key- you guessed it, coz of the heat!
My intention today is to sit in a dark room and watch dvds... I've been playing around with PS again too, the icon is from Romania. Somehow it's easier to make stuff from my own pics at the moment. The problem is, I have only ever taken digital pics of Europe, but not in Asia since when I went there I had a film camera, and I really need to make Asia icons since it's so hot. Planning on making some VM icons too- will post them if and when!

About me: I am normally known as Veverka, I live in Melbourne, I am currently watching Veronica Mars. I am a Buffy addict. For several years now. The obsession shows no sign of abating. A friend recently asked me if I had watched all my Buffy dvds more than once. What was he thinking!?
I am normally found lurking at Buffy Forums and can occasionally be found at Kax.
This year was supposed to be really awesome. I was away travelling, came back, found a new job- money worries should have been sorted (They weren't). I had apartment (evil housemate) problems, and boy trouble. This year has sucked. Bring on 2008. New beginnings needed.
So, here's to the hope of using my shiny new LJ to keep in touch with friends... ;)
