You can always walk out of ikea with something in your hand even when you really don't plan it. In my case, I fell for a bunch of purple fairy lights which consist of six strings of purple stars. They're hung up over the glass door in the living room, and you know what? I'm not even sure I really like them. They're cute and all, but they're very, what's the word? Purple.

I went to the night market last night, and picked up a lamp for my sister for Christmas. She's moving in to my apartment, so I thought it would be good to get her house stuff, make her feel welcome. Buying the lamp (and eating the food) was the good part of the market- choosing to drive there, and that ten km drive taking almost an hour, was the bad part. I'm happy I drive so rarely, that's just wrong.

The vibe of the market is so cool though. It's such a mixed crowd, and the whole place being licensed makes such a difference. Like, it's 'interactive', coz how often does one get to shop with a beer in hand?

The Veronica Mars watching continues to go well- I'm well underway for my strike time dvd watching experience. When I'm old I can tell my grandchildren (in a croaky voice) "In the great strike of '07, I watched an episode of Veronica Mars a day..." That's gonna be something to look forward to, for sure!
