OMG- there was a piece of dust on my screen that looked like there was a crack in the screen... imagine my freak out, but I discovered, of course, that it was just dust...

I made another attempt at a little twilight art- hopefully the beginning of more to come-



In other news, four more days off equals joy! and birthday times- I'm a year older now, again. Sometimes I love my birthday, but I feel like it was Christmas just the other day, and I don't feel quite ready. My sister got me a Vietnam guidebook, then promptly returned it since she discovered I got one for myself yesterday. Instead, I got a scarf, a candle, and a book called "Beyond the Berlin Wall", which could be kinda interesting, since it was published well before the fall of the wall.

On a similar note, I also got the dvd "Lives of Others" yesterday- this is an amazing movie, and if you haven't seen it, I really recommend it. The closing line in that movie is so perfect, yet manages to not be kitsch, and it makes me so happy to see that perfect balance. To be honest though, it did occur to me that someone might get that for me for my birthday, so I didn't unwrap it from the shrink wrap yet!
