weekend...  
Weekends are the best.

The Host is the best.

Pyjamas are the best.

I have been reading a lot. A lot a lot. I'm close to finishing The Host, and I really don't want to... but I want to see how it ends. I wish I hadn't read it at all yet, since this would be the perfect book to take on holiday. Gripping. And long, you can't just finish it on one bus journey.

I got the latest issues of the Buffy and Angel comics yesterday. (Actually, I got a lot of things yesterday, and my bank balance is looking pretty dismal.) Including the new and wonderful Martha Wainwright album, car insurance and travel insurance.


And on another note, I'm back on the Grey's Anatomy bandwagon in a big way- I really liked the last two episodes. I think it's gonna get it's groove back and make season five a great one!

Time to find some breakfast...

Did someone say sleep?!  
Coz that's about the closest I've come to sleep- a lot of talking about it. Sooo sleepy. I started my new job, and I think all the nerves from that messed me up a little, so I played insomniac two nights ago (not entirely bad, I chatted on skype to a friend in a different timezone for an hour) and just haven't caught up.

The job is going well, mind you. Nice to have a fresh start in many ways and it's a nice team. Although I came home early today, sick, and have had a little nap, my tummy feels better and my headache is almost gone. I pretty much never leave work sick, or call in sick, so I really felt uncomfortable doing so in my first week- people there don't know me and I don't want them to get the impression that I'm flakey. But, since I'd be paid to be sick, or equally to sit around the office not working and feeling crap, better to go home.

I've been watching season four of Angel (ergo Wilah goodness in my icon!) and apart from the shafting that Cordelia receives, my views of the season are changing somewhat. I don't hate the entire Jasmine aspect, and I love that Faith makes a visit, and it's nice to see Angelus, and mostly I'm just a lamo who thinks the ending is sickly sweet- and loves it! I've only seen all of season five once, from start to finish, so I'm looking forward to rewatching that, especially in light of the whole story not finishing that night in the alleyway... woot!

In other PC news- definitely getting an external harddrive, maybe next pay, and since I'm running vista at the moment and it's crap (I want to move a file from one folder to another and I get a blackened screen asking for my permission to continue for 'security' reasons, it takes ages to load every time I turn it on, and it falls off the net every so often 'just coz'...) I'm going to 'upgrade' back to XP... lmfao.

All's well that ends well  

Did anyone else find the second Angel comic  a little... blah? Thing is, I read the first, then the third, and only got my hands on the second today- well, I guess anything after the third comic is going to be a little of a let down!

Well, it's been the Australia Day long weekend in- you guessed it- Australia, and I went with a group of friend up to country Victoria- see pics behind the cut for an idea of the impact no rain has on central Victoria. For the record, I am not a country person, and one night there is plenty for me- I like the sounds trams make as they screech around corners.

The Comics...  
Oh. My. Gosh.
I wasn't into them at all. Not at all. There was nothing on the first few pages we got as a preview that commanded my attention, piqued my interest. Nothing in the cover art that made me go 'Huh. Wonder what the gang have been up to? I'd better pay that $8 and find out'.
