Lotsa Tru Calling thoughts, very few on Heroes, Grey's or True Blood.
Another show. That is, another show cancelled too early by a network that was too stupid.
It took me about the last two months to watch the entire show, which admittedly only came to 26 episodes, and one of the reasons for the delay was the fact I knew I wasn't going to get any closure when I saw it. Initially I was a little put off by the format. Since Tru relives days, she would, for example, talk to and make progress with cute boy, then the next time she saw him he wouldn't know they had met. Initally I found that tedious, but actually, I think they didn't go too far with the 'one step forward, two back' tricks that often plague shows that aren't even messing around with alternate time lines. (Cough, Grey's Anatomy, cough.)
In the end though, I was completely sold by the show, and am devastated that as soon as it really got into it's stride, asking the questions, having the season arc, playing with with the concepts of black/white/grey... that's it. Over. Never to know how Tru thwarts Jack (as she must, one way or another), how the father gets what's coming. (In my mind- bus. And not a rewind day. Just hit the bastard by a bus and be done with it.) What about Carrie (evil bitca from hell, screwing with darling Davis, pretending to be as evil as Lilah on Angel but with epic fail coz Tru will win...
Plus, I ship Avery/Tru. Random, perhaps, but... that's what I think. Ha!
Latest Grey's... all same same, but the part where Erica told Meredith if she ever lied to her again the next heart she would see would be her own, when she cut it out with a steak knife- that I liked. Mwahaha. Meredith makes me mad. At least George passed his exam, would have been painful if he hadn't. Still liking Tru Blood. A lot. More and more. As for Heroes- gah. What is with Hiro. There is no reason for him to be a jerk/murderer. Seriously. And no TSCC this week. Sadface.
Otherwise, the weekend was great. Pretty warm yesterday, we had a bbq in the garden, the first since we've moved in. Last night I had my window open since it was pretty warm, but there are possums that live around here, and I swear they were on my window sill and talking to me saying hello, and generally waking me up. I may have dreamt the part where the possum whispered hello. Lol. Maybe. I have no idea. I was scared, anyways. Half dreaming, half awake, I kinda thought someone stole my car too, but since it was still in the (locked) garage this morning, I daresay I just heard a random car drive down the street.
Today was much cooler and since I slept so badly I was annoying/annoyed- just avoided Myles so I didn't annoy the crap out of him too, played with photoshop a little *points to new icon* and then we went swimming with our friends. They swam. I sat in the hot pool and mooched. I don't put my head underwater- I've found this can lead to drowning, water in ears and wet hair! Horrors. Dinner, followed by hot chocolate- felt ill, now drinking green tea ;)
